Al Suwaidi Foundation Reinforces National Memory and Philanthropic Legacy in Honour of the UAE’s Year of Society

MENA Newswire: Abu Dhabi – June 2025- The Al Suwaidi Foundation has reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to preserving the legacy of the United Arab Emirates by advancing national memory, cultural identity, and philanthropic values. The Foundation’s efforts come at a time when the country solemnly reflects on the passing of Moza bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, a woman remembered for her quiet generosity, dignity, and profound sense of family and community.

As the UAE marks 2025 as the Year of Society, the Al Suwaidi Foundation stands in full support of the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, whose deep national values continue to inspire a culture of belonging, respect, and enduring heritage.

In alignment with this national direction, the Foundation continues to develop long-term philanthropic and cultural initiatives rooted in tradition and social cohesion. Through institutions such as Ittihad House & Garden Abu Dhabi and Dr. Hamed Majlis, ASF is shaping archival spaces and reflective programs that safeguard the UAE’s intangible legacy for generations to come.

“Our mission is not only to remember, but to honour and continue,” said a spokesperson from the General Secretariat. “We believe that the strength of our society lies in its stories — and in the people whose quiet contributions have defined the soul of the Emirates.”

The Al Suwaidi Foundation will be launching dedicated initiatives to document and honour legacies like that of the late Moza bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, who exemplified the humanitarian values that form the foundation of the Emirati spirit.

As we reflect on this moment, we also honour the foundational role of Emirati women in shaping our society — led by the enduring example of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, whose humanitarian vision continues to inspire layers of civic responsibility, unity, and dignity across the Emirates.
