    UAE and Slovenian presidents discuss cooperation during Abu Dhabi meeting

    MENA Newswire News Desk: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted President Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar of Slovenia in Abu Dhabi today to discuss advancing bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Slovenia. The meeting, held at Qasr Al Shati, underscored both countries’ dedication to strengthening ties and expanding collaborative efforts.

    President Sheikh Mohamed expressed his appreciation for the Slovenian President’s visit, highlighting his optimism for a deeper partnership between the two nations. The discussions covered a range of cooperative areas, including economic, trade, investment, and development sectors. Emphasis was placed on renewable energy and sustainability initiatives, which align with the shared goals of the UAE and Slovenia in achieving progress and prosperity for their people.

    In addition to bilateral matters, the leaders examined pressing regional and international concerns, particularly stability in the Middle East. Both leaders voiced support for a diplomatic resolution to conflicts in the region, advocating for a two-state solution as a basis for lasting peace. They reiterated their commitment to promoting peaceful resolutions and fostering global stability.

    President Sheikh Mohamed affirmed the UAE’s approach of establishing developmental partnerships that deliver mutual benefits, expressing confidence that cooperation with Slovenia will continue to flourish. He noted the foundation of UAE-Slovenia diplomatic relations in 1992, soon after Slovenia’s independence, reflecting a longstanding commitment to collaboration. The UAE-Slovenia Joint Economic Committee and the Political Consultations Committee play pivotal roles in exploring and realizing cooperation opportunities in various fields.

    President Dr. Pirc Musar conveyed her enthusiasm for strengthening UAE-Slovenian relations, citing shared interests and mutual aspirations for prosperity. She expressed gratitude for the warm reception provided by the UAE and highlighted her eagerness to build on the strong diplomatic ties between the two countries.

    The meeting was attended by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation. The Slovenian delegation, which accompanied President Dr. Pirc Musar, included senior officials engaged in furthering the bilateral agenda.
